Google open-sources TorchTPU for native PyTorch on TPUs

Google has published TorchTPU on GitHub, adding Cloud TPUs (v5e, v5p, v6e and Ironwood) as a native PyTorch backend alongside GPUs and CPUs. Built with Meta's PyTorch team, it ships with an early preview of the TPU Agent Suite for coding agents.

• TorchTPU installs via pip and requires Python 3.11+
• Integrates with Hugging Face Transformers v5, vLLM, SGLang and TorchTitan
• TPU Agent Suite supports Claude Code and Antigravity, with Codex and Cursor coming
• Supports TPU v5e, v5p, v6e and v7 Ironwood
