Crusoe and Araico to build 106 MW AI cloud at Itaipú Dam in Paraguay

Crusoe announced a partnership with Paraguayan developer Araico to build AI compute infrastructure powered by the Itaipú hydroelectric dam. Initial deployment is planned for mid-2027 with 106 MW of IT capacity and a path to about 280 MW. It is Crusoe's first dedicated AI Cloud deployment in Latin America.
