Broadcom adds real-time scam detection to 3-D Secure

Broadcom launched Arcot Scam Defense, a feature of Arcot by Broadcom that flags social engineering fraud in card-not-present payments even after a successful 3-D Secure challenge. In a pilot, reviewing the top 1% of successful challenges would have prevented an estimated $4 million in fraud in a month at a cost of 0.38 points of authentication success rate.
