EA shuts down BioWare, next Mass Effect cancelled

Electronic Arts has shut down BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Jade Empire. Early development on the next Mass Effect is ending as part of EA's restructuring after its move to private ownership. The studio's last release, Dragon Age: Veilguard, significantly underperformed.
