Benchmark: browser MCP servers burn up to 200K tokens per page snapshot

A developer ran 68 sessions of Playwright MCP and Chrome DevTools MCP in Claude Code: everyday tasks cost 90K–200K tokens, while a full snapshot of a long Wikipedia article hit about 205K tokens (~$1.65). The tokensave-mcp-diet proxy cuts snapshots by 43–96%, but inside Claude Code it raised Wikipedia task costs by up to 44%.
