OpenClaw creator says he spent $10 million in tokens last month

Peter Steinberger, OpenAI staff member and creator of OpenClaw, estimated he spent around $10 million in tokens on AI workloads last month. Speaking at Cloudflare Connect 2026, he noted that not all of that spending was useful and that investors are footing the bill.
