Supermassive black hole winds are 100 times more powerful than scientists thought

XRISM satellite observations of quasar H1821+643 show turbulent gas flows around the black hole spread energy about 300,000 light-years, with power roughly 100 times higher than previous estimates. Results published in Nature Astronomy.
