Red Hat and Nvidia expand partnership to secure autonomous AI agents
Red Hat and Nvidia announced at GTC Berlin an expansion of their collaboration, adding agent runtime isolation via OpenShell and Nvidia's Sentry framework on BlueField DPUs to Red Hat AI Factory with Nvidia. Sentry monitors agent activity from a separate hardware security domain and can quarantine a compromised agent in milliseconds.
- OpenShell sandboxes agents while Sentry on BlueField isolates threats in milliseconds
- Joint reference design combines AI Gateway, vLLM, llm-d, Dynamo and NIM
- RHEL for Nvidia 26.03 supports Vera CPUs and is ready for Vera Rubin
- Solutions available via Cisco, Dell and Lenovo; native OpenShell integration in progress
