Conversational Gemini navigation comes to Apple CarPlay

Google has brought its Gemini AI assistant to Google Maps on Apple CarPlay for US drivers, with a global rollout already underway. The assistant handles multi-step requests, such as suggesting places and then routing there while avoiding toll roads. Google has not said whether CarPlay users will get the Personal Intelligence features announced for Android Auto.
