Ransomware attacks jump 50% year-over-year in Q3 2026

Nord Security recorded 2,894 ransomware attacks between July and September 2026, a 50% increase year-over-year and 8.6% more than the previous quarter. The Gentlemen (383 attacks) and Qilin (363) led the pack, with their rivalry driving new tactics.
