MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ review: top handheld performance on Intel Arc G3 Extreme

The MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is the first handheld PC with Intel's Arc G3 Extreme SoC and Arc B390 graphics. It beats rivals in benchmarks and runs over twice as fast as a Steam Deck OLED in some games, but costs £1,399 and inherits Windows handheld quirks.

• Arc G3 Extreme SoC, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 120Hz 1920x1200 display
• Forza Horizon 5 hits 81fps on High, ahead of ROG Xbox Ally X and Legion Go 2
• Elden Ring battery life is 2h 29m vs 2h 14m on Steam Deck OLED
• Display dimmer than predecessor: 418cd/m2 and 1,291:1 contrast vs 521 and 1,412:1
