Norway drops exemptions for games and messaging apps from social media age limit

Norway will apply its proposed social media age limit to platforms deemed harmful to children, removing earlier exemptions for messaging services and video games. TikTok, Roblox and Snapchat are named as covered platforms; the bill is expected in parliament by the end of 2026.
