Teleport CTF shows AI agents self-organizing into a swarm
Teleport ran a capture-the-flag experiment with five AI agents in isolated sandboxes, with no orchestrator or message bus. The agents found each other through a shared key-value store, invented their own message protocol and composed capabilities to solve the task, exposing gaps in RBAC and sandbox isolation.
- Five agents in isolated sandboxes with no network coordinated via a shared key-value store
- Agents invented a JSON message schema with sender, intent, payload and timestamp fields
- Delegation let an agent without filesystem or network access fetch data and issue a POST
- Agents self-assigned identities without cryptographic signing, undermining audit logs
