Democrats warn 25 tech firms of election security 'backsliding'

Sens. Mark Warner and Alex Padilla and Reps. Jim Himes and Joe Morelle sent a letter to 25 companies, including Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and TikTok, urging stronger safeguards against false voting information, foreign influence campaigns and inaccurate AI-generated election content.
