Head of AI Security Role Exists at 65% of $10bn+ Companies

Research by IANS and Artico Search found that 65% of organizations with revenue above $10bn have a head of AI security role: 18% as a dedicated position and 47% combined with another leadership role. The role appears at 9% of firms with $1–10bn revenue and 6% below $1bn. Chief AI officers hold primary AI governance accountability at 22% of large firms, while 14–19% report no single accountable executive.
