Shadow AI emerges as a growing security concern, experts warn

Cybersecurity firms are warning about shadow AI — employees using AI tools without organisational approval. A Gartner survey of 302 security leaders found 69% suspected or had evidence of unsanctioned AI use, while 82% of Cloud Security Alliance respondents discovered shadow AI agents in the past year.
