Nokia and SoftBank plan commercial AI-RAN trial in 2027
Nokia has agreed with SoftBank Corp to run an AI-RAN field trial under commercial traffic conditions in Japan in 2027. The test combines Nokia's AI-native anyRAN software, SoftBank's AITRAS platform and Nvidia's ARC platform to run radio and AI workloads on shared infrastructure.
