Ukrainian hexacopter carries out first drone medevac from combat zone

A wounded Ukrainian soldier became the first person evacuated from a combat zone by drone. A 98-kg Heavy Shot "Ayudag-6" hexacopter, modified by Gurzuf Defence with a winch, anti-jam Starlink and thermal imaging, lifted the 49-year-old soldier of the 92nd Brigade out of a shelled grey zone; he was then taken to Kharkiv Military Hospital and is in stable condition.

• The Ayudag-6 hexacopter weighs 98 kg and lifts up to 130 kg
• It was fitted with a cargo winch, anti-jam Starlink and thermal imaging
• Drones supplied the pinned soldier with food and medicine for days
• The soldier reached Kharkiv Military Hospital in stable condition
