Surface Laptop Ultra review: 2000-nit Mini-LED panel disappoints

A review of the Surface Laptop Ultra with Nvidia's RTX Spark N1X (20-core), 64 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD at $4299 found display issues: no local dimming, visible ghosting at 120 Hz and a high black level of 0.61. Performance is stable, but the chassis is heavy at 2 kg and there is no SD-Express support.

• Peak SDR brightness above 1,000 nits, HDR above 2,000 nits
• No local dimming, black level 0.61, visible ghosting
• Top config: 20-core N1X, 64 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD for $4299
• Single M.2-2280 slot, no SD-Express support
