Anthropic launches Claude Haiku 5.5 with 1M context and up to 90% price cuts

Anthropic released Claude Haiku 5.5 on October 7, 2026, calling it its cheapest, fastest and most capable small model. Prompts up to 100,000 tokens cost $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output tokens, with a 1M token context window and adaptive thinking on by default.
