Perplexity open-sources SPACE sandbox for running AI agents safely
Perplexity has released SPACE, an open-source Docker-based isolated execution engine for AI agents, launched in October 2026 as the infrastructure behind its Computer assistant. It offers network isolation, reproducible environments and per-agent CPU, memory and disk limits.

- Each run starts from a clean state for reproducibility
- CPU, memory and disk limits are set per agent
- Runs on Docker and supports self-hosting without vendor lock-in
