CDPR: live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film won't retell the game's story

CD Projekt Red co-CEO Michał Nowakowski said the live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film from Paramount Pictures will tell an original story set in the world of Night City rather than adapt the game's plot. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing the project.

• Paramount Pictures is making the film, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura as producer
• CDPR wants a new story in the Cyberpunk world, not a game adaptation
• No release date or cast has been announced yet
