fly.ai runs a bit-exact fruit-fly brain simulation on any GPU
fly.ai simulates the full central nervous system of an adult male fruit fly (MaleCNS v1.0: 166,700 neurons and 25.6 million connections) using integer fixed-point math so results match bit for bit on NVIDIA, AMD and CPU. The MIT-licensed code runs in a browser via WebGPU.
- Model: 166,700 neurons and 25.6 million connections of leaky integrate-and-fire type
- Q16/Q20 integer math with 32-bit wraparound removes summation-order dependence
- Validation: population rates match the float engine within about 0.004 Hz
- WebGPU engine runs up to 32 jobs at once in the browser
