Slate truck gets OTA updates through your phone, no infotainment needed

The $25,000 Slate electric pickup lacks infotainment, radio and speakers, but still receives over-the-air updates via the Slate app: the phone downloads the file and passes it over USB in about a minute, then the truck installs it in roughly 45 minutes. The company promises only bug fixes and small improvements, while add-ons like speakers and an iPad mount can push the price past $45,000.
