Google News AI Pilot Program Tops 400 Participating Publications

Google said on October 15, 2026 that more than 400 publications worldwide now participate in its News AI pilot program, a licensing initiative paying publishers for enhanced content used in AI features. The program powers in-depth article overviews on Google News pages and customizable audio briefings. New partners include Axios, CNN, The Financial Times and Forbes.
