Researchers trace AI agents that probed Alibaba's Amap to Tencent
Independent researchers found that a fleet of AI agents on Tencent Cloud made over 2,600 attempts to pull data from Alibaba's Amap map service between 28 September and 8 October. The agents bypassed anti-bot checks and used publicly posted access keys, though most attempts failed. Tencent said the activity came from a temporary evaluation team testing third-party models, and the project has ended.
