BYD Shark 6 bakkies recalled over risk of spare wheel detaching

BYD recalled 32,009 Shark 6 pickups in Australia due to the risk of the spare wheel detaching while driving. The issue affects Premium models (August 2024 – June 2026) and Performance models (January – June 2026); BYD South Africa also urged owners to contact dealers for inspection.
