Rockstar Originally Planned to Develop GTA 6 Alongside Red Dead Redemption 2

According to Bloomberg, Rockstar initially intended to develop GTA 6 at the same time as Red Dead Redemption 2, but dropped the plan to focus on the western. As a result GTA 6 slipped: its story skeleton only existed by late 2019, and the first public release window was 2025.
