Nvidia: AI data centers use only 60-70% of power for actual AI work

Nvidia says only 60-70% of the power an AI data center draws is used for AI processing. About 20% is lost to cooling and power distribution, and another 10% to failures, restarts and misconfigured racks. The main bottleneck for AI capacity is shifting from chip shortages to grid connections.
