Waymo Opens Fully Autonomous Rides to Everyone in Three Cities
On October 14, 2026, Waymo opened its fully autonomous ride-hailing service to the general public in San Antonio, San Diego, and Tampa. The service includes fully autonomous rides at San Antonio International Airport. Waymo says the Waymo Driver has been involved in 94% fewer serious-injury-or-worse crashes than human drivers.
