MKBHD calls Apple's $300 HomeView a "skip for most people"

YouTuber Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) shared first impressions of Apple's $300 HomeView smart home hub. He praised the 7-inch display and face-based account switching but criticized the price, lack of third-party apps, voice personalization and built-in battery.

• HomeView starts at $300, versus $229 for Nest Hub Max and $179 for Echo Hub
• The wall-mounted version drops the subwoofer and needs a $60–130 adapter
• The hub recognizes up to six people and switches their Apple accounts
• MKBHD: "I cannot figure any group that this is actually ideal for"
