Frankfurt Airport trials Auracast for gate announcements

Frankfurt Airport is testing Auracast at two gates in Terminal 1, letting passengers hear boarding announcements through compatible headphones, earbuds or smartphones. The broadcast uses Bluetooth LE Audio and users join via a QR code at the gate. Munich Airport has run a similar pilot since July 2026.
