Gartner: AI infrastructure spending will outstrip AI revenue

Gartner estimates AI datacenter operators will spend about $7 trillion by 2030, while enterprise and consumer AI revenue will reach only $3.6 trillion. Hitting a 12% return on capital would require $8.5 trillion, so 80% of neocloud providers are unlikely to survive as independent companies beyond 2030.
