AliExpress consumer complaints in South Korea jump 21-fold in two years

Consumer dispute filings involving AliExpress in South Korea rose from 30 in 2023 to 649 in 2025 and 967 through August 2026. Refund and return disputes made up 45.5% of cases, while over 10,000 counterfeit cases this year drew no fines, unlike the EU's roughly $692 million penalty.
