Legendary level designer Richard 'Levelord' Gray dies at 68

Richard Gray, known as Levelord, has died at 68. He designed levels for Duke Nukem 3D, Quake: Scourge of Armagon, Sin and Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, and co-founded Ritual Entertainment.

• Gray started with Doom levels and worked on Duke Nukem 3D in 1996
• He co-founded Hipnotic Interactive, later renamed Ritual Entertainment

• He had struggled with cancer; Apogee Entertainment reported his death
