n8n launches AI Assistant for workflow building and configurable Agents

n8n introduced two AI automation tools: Assistant (September 9, 2026) turns plain-language requests into editable workflows on the n8n canvas, while Agents (September 25, 2026) are configurable AI units with models, tools, channels, memory and approvals. Agents can call workflows as tools and vice versa. Both consume AI credits.
