Politicians in Scotland set to vote on national data center moratorium

Scottish Greens are initiating a vote in Holyrood to ban new hyperscale data centers of 50 MW and above until a national strategy is adopted. They estimate that 24 planned projects would consume 1.5 times more peak electricity than the entire country currently uses.
