Vibe coder brings PS2 disc support to jailbroken PS5 consoles

An enthusiast known as Sword released PS5SX2 2.01, an emulator that launches PS2 games directly from a Blu-ray disc on jailbroken PS5 consoles. The disc is first dumped to internal storage; the feature has only been tested on one PS5 model and CD-based PS2 games cannot be read.

• PS5SX2 2.01 auto-launches DVD-based PS2 games on PS5 with a Blu-ray drive
• The disc contents are dumped to the console's internal storage before launch
• It runs only on jailbroken PS5 consoles with compatible hacked firmware
• God of War and Gran Turismo 4 hit 60 fps; CD-based PS2 games are unsupported
