DARPA Lift Challenge won by AVIDrone's electric helicopter

AVIDrone's electric helicopter won DARPA's Lift Challenge by lifting 3.84 times its dry weight, or 112 lb of payload. A battery-powered hexrotor took second place at 3.64:1, while a turbine helicopter finished only third.
