Brain protein Menin linked to aging: restoring it improved memory in mice
Researchers at Xiamen University found that levels of the protein Menin decline with age in the hypothalamus. Restoring Menin in 20-month-old mice improved memory, balance, bone mass and skin thickness within 30 days, while D-serine supplementation improved learning and memory in three weeks.

- Lower Menin raised hypothalamic inflammation and modestly shortened lifespan
- D-serine in drinking water improved learning and memory within three weeks
