ChatGPT is faking New Yorker cartoonists' signatures on AI images

Nieman Lab identified more than 15 New Yorker cartoonists whose signatures appear on ChatGPT-generated images. Cartoonist Brendan Loper learned a viral cartoon of Dolly Parton and Tim Curry carried his BLOPER pen name even though a fan had simply asked ChatGPT for a New Yorker-style drawing.
