Check Point: Global Cyber Attacks Jump 48% Year on Year in September

Check Point Research recorded an average of 2,803 cyber attacks per organisation per week in September 2026 — up 16% month on month and 48% year on year. Education remained the most targeted sector at 6,656 weekly attacks, while reported ransomware victims rose 53%.
