Texas Becomes Testing Ground for Driverless Semi Trucks
Driverless semis from Aurora Innovation, Kodiak AI, Bot Auto and Waabi are being tested and deployed on Texas highways like I-45 and I-20. Aurora has driven over 500,000 autonomous miles since April 2025 and aims for 200 driverless trucks by year-end, while Kodiak has 35 customer-owned trucks and 40,000+ paid driverless hours.
