One in twelve arXiv papers changes its title after submission

An analysis of 1,382 arXiv papers across four categories (cs.CL, cs.AI, cs.LG, math.CO) found that 7.9% change their title between v1 and the latest version, while 21.0% change their abstract. Only 0.2% of title changes are cosmetic; 7.7% are substantive. The dataset is public on GitHub.
