Flurry: 17.4 million Android and iOS devices activated on Christmas Day

Flurry recorded 17.4 million Android and iOS device activations on Christmas Day, up 332% from the 4 million daily average and more than 2.5 times last year's 6.8 million. Tablets outpaced smartphones for the first time, 51% to 49%. Users downloaded 328 million apps, led by the iPad, iPad mini and Amazon's 7-inch Kindle Fire HD.
