FTC to refund $15.8M to Cleo AI customers over instant cash fees

The FTC is distributing more than $15.8 million via PayPal to 2,124,796 Cleo AI customers who paid for eligible instant cash advances. Payments begin October 27 and must be accepted within 30 days. Cleo agreed to pay $17 million to settle the March 2025 case.
