iRhythm data breach impacts more than 360,000 people
Medical device maker iRhythm said data from at least 360,000 people was stolen in a June cyberattack. Hackers gained access to third-party-hosted business applications via social engineering; clinical systems and devices were not affected.
- Breach affected 298,647 people in Texas and 69,526 in South Carolina
- Hackers had access to systems from June 3 to June 8, 2026
- Stolen data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, account and insurance numbers
- iRhythm said devices and manufacturing were not affected
