India's MHA orders mobile internet shutdown near New Delhi's Jantar Mantar
India's Ministry of Home Affairs issued a "top secret" order on October 9 suspending mobile internet within a 4-km radius of the Janpath–Kartavya Path crossing in New Delhi from 10 pm on October 9 to 10 pm on October 10. The notice was sent to Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea and MTNL; no grounds were given. The shutdown area is about 2.5 times larger than the 1.5-km restriction imposed on October 2.
