Apple and LG smart home accessories get exclusive Proximity Control in Dynamic Island

A leak reveals a Proximity Control feature: tapping or bringing an iPhone near HomeKit accessories co-developed by Apple and LG pops a notification in the Dynamic Island with an "Open Controls" button or a camera viewer. The accessory writes an "apple-deviceid" into the Matter payload on its NFC tag and broadcasts a Bluetooth Low Energy advert. An announcement could come at Apple's event as soon as next week.
