Study of 9 Million AI Answers Challenges Link Between Sentiment and Citations

An analysis of 9 million answers across nine AI platforms, based on Writesonic data covering 400+ enterprise brands, found that brands with more negative sentiment were slightly more likely to be cited on five major platforms, while positive sentiment did not reliably increase citations. 64% of citations came from ordinary pages, and 82% of bottom-of-funnel commercial-query citations came from third-party sources.
